Victoria Police has strict guidelines around an applicants prior offence history and how it effects the assessment of eligibility for consideration of employment. Serious criminal offences whether involving imprisonment or not, cautions, good behaviour bonds and diversions may all affect the outcome of the assessment. A poor driving history involving licence suspensions or an excessive accumulation of demerit points may also affect eligibility. If you have any concerns regarding your prior offence history, it is suggested you complete a Voluntary Disclosure Form which is downloadable from here.

Applicants are required to have a distance vision of at least 6/36 in the worst eye and 6/18 in the better eye without contact lenses or glasses. In addition, applicants who wear glasses/contact lenses are required to have a distance vision (visual acuity) of 6/9 in each eye and 6/6 when both eyes are used together.
